Games & Experiences

Some New York memories begin with a view. Others begin when your group cheerfully argues about the next clue—or discovers who can actually bowl. These guides are for people who want to take part, with different choices for families, friends and couples.

For puzzle lovers: EXIT’s private escape games in Midtown give your group a shared mission. Choose a room by the youngest player’s recommended age and comfort reading English, then compare the total group price.

For playful photographs: Color Factory in SoHo puts you inside the picture, with interactive installations and included digital photos. Madame Tussauds in Times Square offers another kind of photo outing. Neither is a quiet afternoon studying a traditional art collection.

For a different world: Eclipso’s VR experiences in Hell’s Kitchen explore spaceflight, Titanic history, ancient Rome and Everest. Choose the production before the ticket: the minimum age is eight, and accessibility differs between experiences.

For an adults-only evening: The Gutter in Williamsburg combines bowling with a bar and a live-performance space. Everyone must be 21 or older, and individual lanes are walk-in only. This one belongs on a friends’ or couples’ plan, not a children’s itinerary.

For a bigger day, start with our family planning guide or compare Broadway and Off-Broadway. Allow time for the journey and a separately planned kosher meal. Our Shabbat-observant outing suggestions use Sunday–Thursday; indoor does not automatically mean step-free or sensory-friendly.
