Kosher Restaurants

A good meal belongs in the plan, not in a last-minute search. Choose dinner around the part of New York you will actually be visiting, then leave enough time to sit down and enjoy it. This English collection is growing as individual restaurant guides are checked and published.

Start on the Upper West Side. Our Eshel guide introduces Persian dishes, explains the menu and meal budget, and links the restaurant’s supervision sources. Read the dated details before deciding whether it fits a museum day or a separate evening out.

Build the day around the right addresses. Use our museum guides for a daytime visit, compare Broadway shows for an evening, or begin with a neighborhood walk. A restaurant in Manhattan is not automatically close to your theater or museum: allow for the actual journey, the meal and any fixed entry time.

Know what the budget includes. Compare the dishes you intend to order and the number of people sharing them. Menu prices, a full meal estimate, tax and gratuity are different parts of the bill. Our restaurant guides distinguish examples from guaranteed prices.

Keep the kosher check branch-specific. Check the current certificate, supervising organization and address before dining; a past verification can change. For Shabbat-observant plans, arrange weekday meals outside Jewish holidays and leave Friday afternoon for preparations. Our trip-planning guides help leave room for these practical details.
