Zvi Zidon: The Local Voice Behind CenterNYC

The local voice behind CenterNYC

New York is too big for anyone to enjoy everything. Zvi Zidon’s guides start with a more useful question: which part of the city will you actually enjoy?

Zvi has lived in New York since 2002. He shares candid impressions from places he has visited, from neighborhood restaurants in Queens to the city’s museums and observation decks. Sometimes that means recommending a favorite; sometimes it means explaining why a famous attraction would not be his first choice.

Personal experience, clearly identified

First-person passages describe experiences Zvi has shared. Other sections are researched editorial guidance. A researched guide is not presented as a personal visit, and customer reviews are attributed to their sources.

In his Guggenheim guide, Zvi explains why several visits did not make it a personal favorite. His Empire State Building guide takes a different view: the history, architecture and changing city light are part of the attraction.

A Jewish traveler’s practical questions

Zvi’s experience as a kosher supervisor informs the site’s approach to restaurant research. Guides identify the supervising agency and the date of the source check, and encourage visitors to look for a current certificate for the specific branch. Shabbat planning is included where it affects a visit.

Beyond the guides

Zvi runs a digital marketing business focused on small businesses, with services spanning websites, design, video, podcasts and social media. He and Meital also host Israeli community meals for Shabbat and Jewish holidays under the “Friday at Zvi and Meital’s” name.

How the information is maintained

Practical information comes from official venue, ticketing and certification sources wherever possible. Each guide states when its details were checked. Prices, schedules and certification can change; linked official pages help readers confirm the details for their dates.

Photography credits and licenses appear beside images. Audience scores identify their sources and calculation method; they are separate from Zvi’s personal opinion.
